The horizon flares as Cataclysmic, a new Tree House triple IPA, enters the stratosphere. Two raging comets with streaking tails ejected from New Zealand's wild fields break across the sky in shimmering arcs. Trailing behind their serpentine route, a ghostly powder is dutifully collected and locked in time by the shadowy figures who tended to their ascent. Nelson and Mega Motueka thiol powder heaves and roils in the kettle and undergoes explosive biotransformation in our towering stainless monoliths. On top of its resinous base of Warrior hops these New Zealand powerhouses unleash notes of tropical zest, a jolt of crushed white grape, and sparkling pineapple! Cataclysmic is a libation of enchantment, calling out to the curious to indulge

On tap in Tewks.

Shows off with an opaque body of yellow and a half-inch head of white.
Fairly pungent aromatics filled with dried mango, white peach, orange.
Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel.
The Treehouse fruit medley mix on the palate is on repeat with this one. Orange, peach, mango.. Play it again Sam.
Finishes fairly dry for a Triple with minimal malt or bitterness.

Picked up a single can as part of a mixed twelve pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Tewksbury, Massachusetts for about sixty dollars. My fourth hundred and eighth brew from these guys. Taste is a bit muddled.

Drinking out of a large Treehouse snifter.
Pours a somewhat hazy dark orange with a very enthusiastic head.
Smells of tropical fruit.
Nice thick mouth feel.
Tastes of pineapple, grapes. Tangy. No bitterness.

Pours a pale, lightly dirty golden color with a nice white head that laces well.

Aroma is light tropical, pineapple and white grapes, touches of mango, nice malt base.

Taste is nice big body semi sweet loads with lighter fruits, white grape, pineapple, lemon lime, hints of mango. Nice big IPA, tons of malt good fruit everywhere finish is lightly herbal with a light medium hop bite.

Mouthfeel is approaching full smooth body, big ass IPA.

Overall great flavors, good nose maybe cutting the grass before messed up my sinuses. Dangerous 9% is not noticeable.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours milky, pale gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is dank hops, starfruit, and white grape..finish is mango. Heavy bodied, low carbonation, slightly bitter. Way to easy to drink for the abv. Like this, a lot more than I thought I might. Good beer.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly nutty-malty, Nelson white wine grape, and a lemon-lime citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a malty-sweet, lemony-orange citrus bitter finish. This needs a touch more Nelson influence on the palate and is a little malt driven and heavy as a lot of Tree House Hazies are, but this is good!

Cataclysmic

Tree House Brewing Company

IPA - Triple New England

Whoa, Treehouse Triple! Thick pine sap smooth texture and extra heady, even for Treehouse standards. Chunky mango citrus and lime Ricky hop flavor's all over the place. 9% is pretty high but seriously drinkable and deep. Treehouse hop juice supreme.

Canned on: 1-6-25
Thx to PhineasMcClintock for muling these cans.

A - Opaque medium golden orange color with a dense creamy lacing ring.

S - Spicy and resiny on the nose with gooseberry, along with some herbally tropical fruit.

T - Gooseberry, pineapple, some light tropical fruit, juicy red grapefruit, white grape, and some along with a little bit of herbal character. Ends with some bitter fruitiness (along with a miniscule amount of sweet pine) but overall, on the sweeter side.

M - Big medium body that's pillowy soft and chewy along with a dry finish.

O - Nicely done and recommended.
