Canned winter 2025
It’s cool to see Tree House taking on a “Sour Saison”, especially since I haven’t particularly loved some of their more traditional takes on the style. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a mostly clear pale gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing
The nose suggests something light and bright with a tart bite. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon juice, raw grain, graham cracker, white pepper, lemongrass, grassy hops, light kiwi, and crabapple
It’s pretty similar in taste and that’s just fine by me. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, white pepper, crackery malt, apple cider vinegar, stone, kiwi, and light grassy hops. The swallow brings notes of lemon juice, raw grain, honey, grassy hops, white pepper, lemongrass, crabapple, lime zest, and light cracker
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
This one is damn good. More TH Saisons in this lane please

Poured from a can into a tree house tulip glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden straw color with a huge head of white foam. The head fades very slowly leaving a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – the aroma is strong of a sour lemon smell mixed with notes of grain and some light cracker. Along with these smells comes notes of sour green apples and a bit of funk and must.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisp sour green apple and lemon flavor mixed with notes of cracker malt and a bit of apple cider vinegar. The sour is moderate throughout the taste, never getting too potent, but adding a nice backdrop. All the while flavors of hay and a bit of sour lime join in, and with a touch of must and funk at the end, one is left with a rather clean sour taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is medium to light in nature with a moderate and slightly more effervescent carbonation level.
Overall – A pretty easy drinking and rather balanced sour. Would do this one again.
