Seter is a Norwegian farmhouse pale ale that pours a hazy golden color, with clouds of foam rising above the glass. Kveik yeast, a traditional strain kept alive through countless generations of Nordic farmers, gives off notes of tangerine juice and dried orange peel. We then blended Cascade, Nelson, and Super Sauvin, a thiol-enhanced expression of Nelson hops. This unlikely marriage of two vastly different terroirs, Nordic and Southern Hemisphere, creates an intensely tropical beer with a fluffy body that bursts with notes of pineapple, lychee syrup, and citrus zest.

From a 12 oz can, packaged 5/18/26, poured into a Belgian Tulip glass.
Light golden color resembling lemonade, hazy but with a slight translucency. About a half inch white head that settles to a foam ring and thin film on top. Some beads of lace on the glass.
Aromas of light lemon, orange zest, a bit of grassiness.
Flavors of light lemon and orange zest. Light and refreshing, drinks like a Grisette but without the tartness. Dry on the palate, almost like a lemonade that's easy on the sugar.
Light but has some body. A bit of dryness reminiscent of citrus rind.
Very good take on a farmhouse ale. I'm glad Tree House is experimenting with Kveik yeast as it leads to some interesting beers.
