12oz. bottle into a Founders snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a barely there foamy white head. Goldenrod color. Stringy lace. Decent but a bit disappointing. Nose is banana, coriander, rose petals, and peppercorn. Prickly, sweet, foamy. Aromatic. Beer opens banana, peppercorn, and coriander up front. I get floral notes, more banana, and a foamy sweetness in the middle. Lightly tart at the back with more prickly spice notes and a clean finish. Lightly bitter. Solid. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly on the palate and goes down aggressive, sparkling with a dry, clean finish.
Solid if not remarkable. I nice foray into the style for Tree House.

Picked-up a single bottle at Tree House in Sandwich for about five dollars. My 253rd brew from these guys. I am not a fan of this style, so did not love this.

It’s nice to see Tree House branching out a bit style-wise. Though this one was brewed before, it’s been about 7 years since the last time it was, so it’s more of a revival. Only got 2 new TH beers from my latest trip which was mostly beers for trade, but I just had to grab a few things for myself. Let’s see how Tree House does a Saison
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 2 fingers of white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
There's just a mild funk to this in the nose, and I tend to prefer the style with a bit more acidity than this but it's pretty good. I'm picking up on aromas of lemon rind, wet hay, earthy wheat, coriander, doughy malt, light tangerine, and a touch of banana
It's promising on the front end with some sharpness, but the taste leaves a bit to be desired after the swallow. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting orange rind, lemon juice, hay, bready malt, light banana, and a touch of white pepper. The swallow brings notes of soft wheat, orange rind, banana, earthy wheat, doughy malt, and a touch of clove
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a creamy beer. Finishes neutral with a tad too much sweetness
This is pretty good, but it's nothing standout. I think if they're gonna continue with Saisons they should bring the funk a bit more. That may just be personal taste, but I think it'll make things more interesting

Picked up a 750ml bottle at the new Deerfield location. Seems more hefe-like than saison, but it’s also very mildly hopped so those base beer qualities really shine. And it’s hard to find a beer of this style that isn’t heavily hopped. Deeper into the beer there is a mild funk and a clean yet fairly yeasty finish. Impressive but TH needs to tweak this a bit.
