Part of the series that includes our Farmhouse Classic and Farmageddon, Lil' Farmie is a light and refreshing saison that's a bit more sessionable. Think of it as the youngest sibling.

The beer has a cloudy straw colour, with a very small white head. The head fades quickly, leaving no lace.
Nose contains light fruits, spices and some wheat.
Taste is light fruits and some spicy flavours- pepper seems to stick out. Wheat and bubblegum. Slightly dry.
Light bodied, highly carbonated. I am usually not a fan of too much carbonation, but it works in this beer. Refreshing.
Overall, a nice beer, but the weak point in the "Farmhouse" family from Bellwoods. I doubt I would ever take it over the regular Farmhouse or Farmageddon.

On tap at the brewery, a cloudy yellow beer, decent initial head but leaves little lacing. Smell is perfume and floral, pears and hay. Also a fair bit of malt. Taste is light with a malty and lightly hay character, underripe pears and a really crisp character. Soft fruitiness and a bit of citrus, mouthfeel is light, crisp and well carbonated, a dry really crisp finish, standard for style. Overall a crisp, slightly tart, profile that is quite light. Satisfying session beer but not the most yeasty or complex saison, could have several of these though without many complaints. Still it's not that compelling.
