Dry-hopped with Sterling, this beer showcases soft aromatics of lemon, tea, and honeydew melon. The flavour is clean, grassy, and crisp; the finish is refreshing and dry. Much like an origami paper tiger, this deliciously ferocious beer is, let’s just say it — oh so easy to crush.
Paper Tiger will be an ongoing lager series, so keep an eye out for new iterations over the course of the next year. The first version, fermented with Mexican lager yeast and dry-hopped with Sterling, is a draft-only release.

Bellwoods' first lager. I admit to not being much of a lager fan, and I rarely drink them. That being said, I found this to be enjoyable but not preferable to their pale ales. The taste is refreshing and light, with bread, lemon and a slight grassy flavour. Slightly bitter. The finish has the characteristic "lager" flavour that I cannot describe but recognize. Easy drinking for sure.
Tough beer for me to review. If I was in the mood for something light, I would go with Stay Classy for sure, which I think is terrific and overlooked. But, for my tastes, this is quite good as lagers go. Those who appreciate them more may enjoy it a lot.

I had this last night at Bellwoods. I was overall very impressed with it. It's exciting that they've finally made a lager, and it's even more exciting that it's such a delicious one!
