Jutsu is our original hazy pale ale that has quickly risen to the ranks of favourite around here. It’s known for low bitterness, bold aromatics, bright fruity flavours, and of course, that characteristic haze.
Somewhere along the way we had the idea to take our regular recipe and turn the volume up to eleven -- we named it Double Jutsu. The hop aromatics and flavours in this beer are intensified, but the soft bitterness and smooth body remain.
What it smells and tastes like: Loaded with notes of ripe peach and nectarine, balanced by a soft bitterness, and profoundly delicious.

Just like their Jutsu beer, but stronger. Smells of citrous with some over ripe pineapple. This is a heavy beer at 8%. The booze is well hidden and you don't really taste it, but you do notice a little booze for sure. Pours maybe 1 finger of head and keeps lacing. Hazy with bits of yeast or floaters in the beer. Classic IPA color of orange and yellow. Taste is of citrous and hops. Again, lots of these IPA's remind me of Screwdrivers in a way. I like this beer and could buy again, but generally I prefer the lighter stuff so I would take the original Jutsu over this double Jutsu. Either way, enjoy your IPA's.

I’ve been itching to try this since it hit the top100 in Canada. Actually found at an LCBO in Cambridge!
It’s very good, but perhaps a bit over hyped.

Densely hazy golden yellow - slightly milky - with near two fingers tight bubbly creamy white head.
Aroma not overpowering cold but as warmed popped with grapefruit, tropical fruit, mango, orange peel.
Juicy on the palate - tropical fruit, grapefruit, pineapple with a just slightly astringent bitterness at the back - resinous and slightly dank and earthy.
Medium full creamy mouthfeel with tamed carbonation and a finishing bittersweet kick.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $5.50 CDN. Canned May 18, 2021, making this Double Jutsu super fresh.
Appearance - Very hazy, rich golden brew with a finger and a half of a white cap head. Moderate staying power, Some visible bubbles and did I mention huge haze level? Sparse sticky lacing left behind.
Smell - Tropical notes of grapefruit, mango and papaya, with suggestions of pineapple overlaying a dank weedy undercurrent. Maybe's it's the freshness but the depth and complexity is something else.
Taste - Tropical again, grapefruit and mango most prevalent with some sweeter notes of pineapple mixed in. Some boozy astringent bitterness and weedy flavors too. Plenty of bitterness in the aftertaste. A touch of pepper in here too.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, moderately light carbonation, a touch boozy.
Overall - Excellent IPA/ DIPA whatever you want to call it. Packed full of flavor with a huge aromatic nose. Unlike some of the other Bellwoods products that have hit the LCBO, this one offers comparable bang for your buck to many of the other breweries in Southern Ontario. Combined with a superior nose and flavors, this is one IPA I can see myself returning to.

Orange gold body, thick and unfiltered, like fresh orange juice. Forms an off white head with a minute or so retention.
Big juicy tropical, citrus, fleshy fruit - apricot, mango, orange, grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple. Outstanding.
The flavour follows suit with a focus on the tropical fruit, adding moderated resin bitterness and a mouthcoating soft unctuousness - like the feel of an altufa mango. Pineapple, passion fruit, mango, and orange shine here, as well as some pine in the finish. No pithiness at all. Remarkably clean. Alcohol is imperceptible, this goes down like juice. Medium carbonation, full body.
Jutsu is just delicious. Fantastic fresh fruit flavour, luscious feel, easy drinking. A great choice for summer patios, tacos, and burgers.

One of Bellwoods' better IPAs and, judging by the reviews, it's also one of Ontario's best.
If only some of these folks would try Badlands Brewing's IPAs: I think their jaws would drop.
Having said that, this is still a very good beer. From the sumptuous nose, to the piney/citrus mix, you are holding a great IPA in your hand, if you are lucky enough to get it (at source). If you haven't tried it yet, you should.

Pours cloudy peach with a frothy, compact head. Big peach, mango, papaya notes in the nose. A wall of tropical, citrusy hops in the first sip. Super hoppy with a light pale malt ballast. Peach, apricot, melon hops in there. Some white pepper and herbal hop notes. Full bodied mouthfeel with creamy carbonation and lots of mouthcoating alpha acids. The finish is high in bitterness and fruityness. Long lasting tropical and citrus notes.
A fantastic IPA. Redolent with hop flavor. Juicy and complex and quite aggressive. One of my favorites ever.
