He is a ruler, an overlord, a top dog, a crowned head. In the realm of all that is tart and sour, Jelly King reigns supreme.
Rather than choosing between sour or hoppy, we decided to create a beer that would be both at the same time. Showcasing the aromatic benefits of a generous dry hop, harnessing the prowess of lactic acidity, and coming to a bottle near you without a pesky slumber in oak, Jelly King is the fermented embodiment of immediate gratification.
What it smells like, what it tastes like, what it looks like: This limited edition Jelly King harnesses the other-worldly powers of raspberry and peach, creating sweet and sour sorbet-like flavours that -- do I even have to keep going? I just said sorbet. A beer that tastes like sorbet. It’s amazing.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light tart notes with some raspberry notes and light peach. Taste is also a mix of raspberry notes with some light peach with a tart finish. Body is full with good carbonation. Another great version of Jelly King.

Poured at fridge temp from a can. Pours a grapefruit color - pink with an orange tint. An inch of white head that sticks around for a while. The nose is really nice. The peach dominates here. The raspberry is there, but is a bit weaker. A bit of lemon and an earthy note. A touch of vanilla. The taste is super smooth. A slightly bitter note compliments the fruity sweetness. Almost a citrus peel. A bit of funk, a floral note, peaches, and raspberry. The sourness is there, but it's mild. The mouthfeel is fairly light and dry, with a sweet and bitter aftertaste. Nice and refreshing beer.

Pours a hazy peach with a light pink head. Great tart peach & raspberry aroma. A pleasant tartness in the flavour without any funk. It’s quite good, but I don’t think it’s a top 100.

500 mL bottle from the LCBO; dated May 16 2022 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a muddied pinkish-red colour, briefly supporting half a finger of tight, foamy white head that falls apart within ninety seconds or so. A creamy collar lives on indefinitely, surrounding a filmy cap; not a lot of lacing at first, but there's some deposition later on. Moderately aromatic, offering up hints of wheaty malt and lactic character, as well as raspberry purée and seeds; the peach is a fair bit more muted, but it's there if you look for it.
The flavour profile is another story entirely, with ripe peach leaping out immediately; tart raspberry purée also figures in strongly. A little crackery/wheaty, with notes of lemon, raspberry yogurt and a hint of white grape near the finish; lactic acidity, peachy tang, grapefruit and raspberry all persist into the aftertaste, with subtle raspberry seed lingering longest of all. Medium in body, with moderately low carbonation that weakly agitates the tongue; feels soft and satisfying on the palate. Reasonably refreshing, with good drinkability - I could go for another, but sours are not a style I tend to stick with all night.
Final Grade: 4.23, an A-. Raspberry & Peach Jelly King is tasty stuff, but it's still not one of my favourite JK variants - possibly because the raspberries don't leave a lot of room for the dry hop flavours to really shine through. On the other hand, I was definitely satisfied with the peach presence: a favourite fruit of mine that can be challenging to use effectively in brewing (a statement I am basing mostly on the vanishingly small number of really good peach beers I can recall trying over the years). A very, very safe pick-up if you enjoy any of the other fruited JKs, or raspberry sours in general.

This one pours a very hazy and insanely jammy looking dark pink color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like pure raspberry creamsicle, with lemon acidity, a bit of sour peach, grapefruit, and piney hops.
This basically tastes like raspberry sorbet, as the raspberry definitely overwhelms the more delicate peach flavors. I get a hint of the base Jelly King here, with a slight citrusy bitterness on the finish, and a bit of pine. The fruit flavors, as usual, are done exceptionally well.
This has an exceptionally creamy mouthfeel for the style- like I said before, it's like hoppy sour sorbet, basically.
I continue to be floored by this series- Bellwoods can't keep striking gold, can they?

Hazy pinkish color with white head. Aroma has raspberry yogurt and some dextrin malt sweetness. Taste is sweet and tart, fruity, some light medicinal, mineral, effervescent tablet flavor. Medium minus body, medium carbonation. Really tasty and refreshing.
