Milkshake beers are a strange but delicious phenomenon brewed with lactose sugar and apple pectin. They're hazy, slightly sweet, and hoppy, with a velvety mouthfeel unlike any other. Some people love them, some people consider them blasphemy – luckily they're an optional spice of life (that sell out faster than we can brew them). Plan for these awful, no good, sacrilegious beers accordingly.
We love all our beers equally and would never play favourites, but if we had to live out the remainder of our days on a desert island, let's just say this juicy, spritzy, citrus bomb disguised as a beer, would be on our short list. It's kind of like if freshly squeezed OJ and a creamsicle had a baby, and then that baby went on to become an overachiever you wanted to hate but just couldn't.

Thick, opaque body looks like a peeled mango, head forms but not strongly.
Bright aromas of orange and tangerine juice, freshly squeezed, with some pine hops and a dash of cream.
Taste of real, pure orange juice, fruity, not sugary, and balanced softly by pithy hops; I wouldn't have guessed tangerine without the label, there probably wouldn't be much distinction vs. an orange version; a very light creaminess is there, as much from the lactose as from the feel on the palate, due to the light carbonation and unfiltered fullness; finishes dry, the fruit lingering and enticing.
Bright, refreshing, and pure, it's not sophisticated but it's a fun summer brew.

Not really liking this one that much. It's too sweet for me. Lots of tangerine flavor and vanilla tones. Not my idea for a good beer. Gave some to another person and they really liked it, but they like Smirnoff Fruit Flavored Coolers and I don't. I guess I'm in the camp of playing with the beer too much doesn't really make it a beer anymore.
I wouldn't buy again personally.
A citrous flavored vanilla flavored drink that should be right beside the Sunny D section at the grocery store.
That might be exactly what your looking for though. Reminds me of a screwdriver drink ( Orange Juice and Vodka ).

Wow, its a creamsicle in a can. I am so happy they brought the back. The look when poured looks like a glass of pulp free OJ. If you have the chance get more than one. This beer balances sweet and hoppy and the finish is magical.

500 mL bottle received in a trade not too long ago - thanks Artem! Served well chilled.
Pours the colour of orange juice - turbid golden-orange, with more than a finger of loose, soapy, big-bubbled head that snaps, crackles and pops off within a minutes' time. A thin collar lasts on, but not much else, which really only adds to the orange juice aesthetic. It smells of mandarin orange flesh, underlain by an understated milk sugar and vanilla sweetness - not unlike an orange Creamsicle, albeit with the vanilla aspects neglected in favour of the citrus.
Absolutely yummy, though I must say I'm getting a hell of lot more 'tangerine' flavour than I am 'milkshake'. But I don't even know if that's a bad thing... the more sugary these milkshake IPAs get, the less I tend to care for them. The tangerine and mandarin orange juiciness strikes you right off the bat and doesn't relent - hints of vanilla and milk sugar sweetness barge in by mid-sip but last only briefly, with a tart orange juiciness being the main feature of the finish and aftertaste. Medium in body, with carbonation levels that are as aggressive as any soft drink - normally I might object, but it works wonderfully well in conjunction with the orange juicy, fruit sugar sweetness of the flavour profile. While I wouldn't call it especially sessionable, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want another bottle... right this second.
Final Grade: 4.33, an A grade. Tangerine Milkshark is many things, but subtly flavoured is not one of them - nor would I call it complex, or even particularly beer-like. In fact, it reminds me of an orange juice cocktail more than anything else... but damn me, is it a tasty little fucker. Well worth going out of your way for - even people who "don't like beer" will probably love this one, and no that is not an inherently bad thing.
