Another beer from the Sour Fest 2019 at Hops & Pie in Denver, CO in early summer.
Has a yellow color pour, 1/4" white head. Lemon and pineapple in the nose. I think this was a stainless steel kettle sour. Notes of dry hopping are lost on me, couldn't even get a whiff of anything resembling hops, unless you wanna pretend you can discern the difference between Galaxy hops and actual pineapple.
Yup, more lemon and pineapple tartness and pretty much nothing else. Juicy. But its a little bit of a one trick pony, especially on this day of totally awesome bangers in this beer event lineup.
There are no off flavors or flaws in the beer, take it for what it is, a nice light banger you could prolly drink at the softball field and turn some one on to craft beer or wild ales. I'd pick up a 4 or 6 pack just to have them around for palate cleansing, hot river days, softball or just entry level stuff for the non dork beer types to check out.

Hazy golden yellow with a dense long-lived head. Plenty of lace. Makes for a handsome beer. Slightly tart nose with a whiff of pineapple. Tart on the palate, pineapple and lemon to taste. Maybe leaning a bit too heavily to lemon. Meets the typically high technical standard for this brewery, but a bit too one dimensional compared to some of their other stuff in this line.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tart notes with light delicate notes of pineapple also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of tart notes with some pineapple notes and light residual sugar notes with no acidic notes perceptible. Body full with good carbonation. Another nice mix of sour notes and fresh fruits.

500 mL Bottle. ABV 5.6%.
Appearance: Veiled pale gold, Half a finger of off white head, Thin collar remains.
Aroma: Pineapple, Lemon, Grapefruit, Mango, Citrus fruits, Citra hops.
Mouthfeel: Light-Medium body, Slight pucker.
Flavour: Orange, Tart, Grapefruit, Lemon, Slight hops.
Overall: Aroma was pleasant with lots of pineapple. It's a little one-dimensional but a decent variant of the original Jelly King.
