On-tap at Bellwoods. Served in a pint glass.

A - White foam settles to a thin cap, leaving behind splotchy lace. Murky dark orange body.

S - Citra hops, peach, wheat, a bit of buttered biscuit pilsner malt. Surprisingly assertive malt character; really wanted more peach and hop flavor here.

T - The taste is quite similar, with a mix of sweet malts, grain, juicy citrus hops, and peach flesh. As it warms, the latter comes out a little bit more which is nice, but I still want more juicy peach flavor.

M - Medium body, with a bit of grainy wheat. Moderate, soft carbonation, with a lightly sticky finish that lingers on the palate.

D - Decent enough, but I was expecting more from the collaborators. I'd probably drink it again, but there are a lot of superior Bellwoods offerings. Maybe it pairs well at Momofuku; didn't get a chance to go there this time around.

a lighter beer enjoyed at the brewpub. fizzy carbonation, lacey. easy drinking beer. no flaws but ordinary. Very drinkable, I had a few servings, the best being a fresh batch. More like a peach soda blended with a beer, overpowered by the beer smell.

A collaboration between Bellwoods and Evil Twin. As far as I know, this was brewed specifically for the new Momofuku restaurant(s) in Toronto, and is only available there. Like the Fruit Helmet, this is an American Pale Ale brewed with peaches.

Beer has a moderate to large white head that looks solid. Moderate retention, good lacing. Beer is an opaque orange colour.

Nose is marked by a clean hoppy scent, along with a good amount of peach. Citrus scents as well, orange.

The peach flavour is present and obvious but is not over the top. The beer still displays a nice hoppy side, and is mildly bitter. Hops give some citrus flavour. A bit of caramel malt as well, but not much. The peach works quite well with the base beer, a nice combo.

Medium bodied, strongly carbonated but not annoyingly so. Slightly oily.

Overall, quite tasty. I preferred this one to Fruit Helmet.
