16 oz can from Plaza Liquors, canned 3/20/18, poured into a pint glass.
L - Pours a slightly hazy copper/amber color with about a finger of creamy, white foam that leaves a slightly thicker lacing and decent carbonation.
S - Orange, coriander, nutmeg, maple syrup, caramel, biscuity malt, artificial grape, slightly hoppy and spicy but on the sweeter side.
T - Much like the smell, orange and other citrus, honey, spice, biscuity malt up front, with a strong astringent alcohol bite toward the finish. Not sure of the hop presence, but it's there, moreso on the maltier, sweeter end, though. Very refreshing and a nice tasting beer.
F - Light-to-medium bodied, crisp, moderate carbonation, slightly sticky and dry finish. The high ABV% presence definitely sneaks up on you so careful with the drinkability.
O - A nice, specialty brew from one of my favorite local breweries. I like the irony of the name the most, as well as the description of it being "a special occasion beer that drinks like it's not." I tried this in a flight sampling before, but very glad I picked it up for a proper pint. It's a nice representation of a Belgian-style Tripel worth a try.
