On tap at the Brat Haus, Scottsdale, AZ:
The beer appeared a light hazy yellow with a nice white head without much retention, which is typical for the style. The beer gave off a much lighter sour-ish aroma than expected. The beer had a good sour taste to it...not much else really. Nothing wrong with it...just no real wow factor or that something that would make me want to order another. The beer was very easy to drink, but seemed perhaps a bit watered down.

Maybe my favorite Berliner to this point in my drinking career. Not overly sour but enough. A little more balanced than most. Properly carbonated and smooth.

Pours a cloudy, pale yellow color with a quickly fading white head that leaves not much in the way of lacing.
Smells of sharp wheat and lemon notes.
Tastes of the sharp notes upfront with a touch of fruitiness and some earthiness as well. Tart notes lead off with wheat and lemon zest. This sweetens up a little bringing in a bit of green apple like notes before ending with an earthiness.
Mouthfeel is light with a crisp amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a very good berliner weissbier and I drank through the growler in no time. It hits all the right notes and has a bit more complexity than I expected.

10 oz pour in a small tulip.
Nice, slightly cloudy lemon/gold color. Head quickly dissipates, as Berliner weisses will do.
Wheat and soft lemon aromas, a little stone fruit, pineapple Jolly Rancher. I dunno if they even make a pineapple Jolly Rancher but I'm standing by that.
Moderate lactic tartness, lemon zest, still a hint of stone fruits. Well balanced, refreshing. Ends clean with a little lasting lactic bite.
Amazing body on this beer. Light, well carbonated, almost effervescent. Soft and lush wheatiness.
As good as any German made one I've had (or American for that matter). Very true to style. I'd drink this shit til I passed out in my neighbor's pool.

Growler sample on the first day of release. Pale, cloudy, straw colored beer. Head fades quickly after the pour but the carbonation appears fizzy and lively. The beer definitely has that wheat aroma with a nice lemon zest to boot.
The beer hits the tongue with a sharp but fine spritz of carbonation. There is a good degree of sourness up front, with a touch of vegetal, earthy character in between, before it finishes with a refreshing cleanliness. The citrus/lemon tartness is more intense than expected and I really appreciate that. This beer can really qualify as a sour treat. Low alcohol, very drinkable.
This could be my go-to summer session beer, I only hope it continues to be available for awhile. Perhaps the degree of freshness makes the difference, but this is a more enjoyable Berliner Weiss than any other I have tried. And to think I thought I didn't care much for this style. This beer is amazing.
