Attractive clear golden amber brew with abundant foam in the St. Bernardus globe. Tingly and warm on the tongue with a lemony fragrance and even a whiff of the old feline. Quite malty and sweet, but in the most drinkable and pleasing way. Hops are aromatic and fruity with a lime and tangerine taste and a rich mouthfeel.
A distinct bitterness comes along in the aftertaste after some sipping. It's just the right balance. This is a nice surprise from Societe. It's a hoppy lighter brew that's hard to call an American Lager, since it's so much out of the ballpark compared to the what's usual in that category. I'd call it a Hoppy Lager. From the 32 oz crowler filled at the brewery taproom.
