Good of the Public is an assertively hop-forward IPA with a balanced refreshingly dry finish. It utilizes Strata, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Columbus resulting in an IPA full of peachy flavors that are balanced out with piney dry finish.

Picked up a can of this with a bunch of other single cans. I generally think Societe’s hoppy beers are overrated overall, but I really liked the last one I had - Agreeable Folk. That made it easier to pick up this one. Online description read, “Good of the Public is an assertively hop-forward IPA with a balanced refreshingly dry finish. It utilizes Strata, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Columbus resulting in an IPA full of peachy flavors that are balanced out with piney dry finish.” That’s an interesting hop combo.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Just a few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled peach, apricot, stone fruit, tangerine, orange rind, grapefruit, berry, pine and lemon zest. For mentioned hops, in order Strata, Amarillo and light Mosaic (wasn’t getting much Columbus). More peach, stone fruit and berry from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. In order got peach, apricot, stone fruit, tangerine, bitter grapefruit rind, spicy pine, berry, lemon zest and floral. Strata and Amarillo led for the mentioned hops with Mosaic a distant third. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A very good IPA from Societe. (Overall - 3.75)

from a foot back i was getting a bubble-gum aroma.... almost a little mint closer up. sweet. mango aroma on top. billowy and unimpressive white head. i'm with RAULLLLL on this one-not very impressive. but drinkable. i'll quaff it down with this Hypermash Hydra and wont even know the difference, eh? it's not bad, but Societe has always had such astounding IPAs...

Was really happy to see that this one poured all sexy and West Coast, but then I took a sniff... Yeah, it’s not like Becky after cheerleading practice. But still, I’m not feeling it. On the tongue is the same thing - ripe and nasty. This one tastes like the farmer’s daughter, ya feel me? Onion for dayzzzzzz.
To hell with it, I’m out.
