This installment highlights Nelson hops, and uses a special “Societe blend” from three different suppliers to achieve more depth and desired aromas and flavors. The Bachelor with Nelson has a soft, pleasant mouthfeel with subtle floral notes, white grape, tangerine, lemon-lime, and tropical fruit. Why is this release so special? This is a tribute to our dear friend Nate Soroko. Not only was Nelson his favorite hop, but he is the silhouette for The Bachelor label. The silhouettes have featured family and friends of the brewery since inception. Nate was a supporter of Societe since day one.

Snuck over to Windmill Farms before heading to Pure Project and North Park, mainly to see what kind of newish North Park stuff they had. Came across this one from Societe. Bine & Vine’s website called it “This installment highlights Nelson hops, and uses a special “Societe blend” from three different suppliers to achieve more depth and desired aromas and flavors. Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Perfect foamy spiderweb lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled Nelson, tangerine, orange, Tang, white grape, grass, earthy malt and papaya. Just as good, maybe even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted Nelson, tangerine, orange peel, Tang, white grape, papaya, light mango, earthy malt, grass and lingering spice. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Dry, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)

What a nice single-hopped beer. Big fan of this one. (Overall - 4.25)
