Wild Card brings the sticky scent of hops and a burst of citrus flavor that sparkles like a fresh paint job.

Nearly 3 months on this can, I think this is an acceptable timeframe to understand most IPAs. Wild Card is interesting in that it's pilsner malt flavors mostly dominate with light berry, piney, and floral hops bringing up the rear with moderate bitterness. Subtleties matter in beers such as this, and this beer has sneaky attributes that are worthy. All in all a decent WCIPA, not in your face as some would prefer, but I find no problems overall here. Would happily drink again

Somebody gave me this can to sample. The date on the can is June, (unrecognizable), 2024; so roughly three months old. For an IPA that is not optimal. That said, it was quite good. I can only imagine how a fresh one on tap at the brewery might taste.

16 oz can into a pint glass
Classic yellow-tan appearance, 1/2 inch head leaves a fair amount of lacing.
Malty bouquet, caramelly and citrusy.
More hop-forward on the palate, crisp and piny snd floral. Honeyed biscuits follow, with a touch of boozy warmth lingering between sips.
Absolute knock-out IPA…reminds me of the early days of Pupil when it was hard to find it anywhere but on tap

Can pour - clear golden straw color, short white head, scattered lacing. Smells like that grainy smell you get sometimes walking into a brewery. Kinda tastes like that -not in a bad way at all. Slight bite lingers on the finish.

canned 6/26. Consumed from a 20 oz pinot noir wine glass on 7/19. Nice crystal clear gold color topped by 1/2 finger tight-ish white foam that recedes to an island. Little lacing. Continuous stream of fine rising carbonation. Nice smell of fruit and hops duplicated in the taste, but the smell is mainly upon opening and pouring. Later on I got…almost nothing. More stonefruit and citrus than tropical or anything else. Mild bitterness. Medium body. Unknown hop and malt mix, but something really triggers viscous mouth secretions in me. No big downgrade for that mouthfeel since I assume it it is a personal allergy reaction.
