This clean-cut West Coast IPA gets straight to the point with sharp bitterness and zero hesitation. The Dagger's aroma sinks in deep with floral undertones giving way to resinous pine. Every sip hits its mark.

Canned less than 2 weeks ago on 5/12/26. Into a tall hefeweisen glass ( because i like the look). light to medium gold, slight haze, topped by 2.5 fingers of tight persistent white foam. Lots of lacing. Smell and taste both dominated by citrus zest and rind, mostly grapefruit. A fair amount of bitterness. Medium body and very fine carbonation. A pretty nice example of the style if you are a fan of the flavor profile.

Packaged March 26, enjoyed on May 10th, 2026 - poured from a pint can into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Misty amber body with a fat mesa of stiff peaks. Thick rocky lacing; superior retention.

Dank, citrus-laden, faintly tropical aroma - potent and inviting.

Flavors of lemon-lime, grapefruit zest, and forest floor are joined with a moderate bitterness and lightly sweet malt. Medium-dry, slightly grassy finish. Well balanced if somewhat generic/subdued.

Medium-light bodied, good carbonation, slightly sticky yet still refreshing.

Well crafted and satisfying example of the style.

Pours medium gold with decent but wispy head that leaves quickly. The smell is a little pungent, it’s pretty fresh canned 3-26, some fruit flavors. The taste is interesting but it kinda misses the mark. It’s drinkable but the whole was less than the sum of it’s parts. There are some tropical flavors, probably grape fruit, and it’s pretty bitter, but it doesn’t compare to some of their other offerings. It’s a one timer, no rinse and repeat

And there was Raul. Summer of ‘96 at the rollerblading rink and school hottie and Raul’s crush Samantha Sinclair was also there. Raul was hesitant first, but then he made his move… And as R Kelly was singing, “I believe I can fly” (before he flew his ass to prison), Raul reached out and he grabbed Samantha’s hand. And for the next few minutes circling the rink, things were heavenly. Oh, and this beer is nothing close to that.

Fail!
