Bottle from Boise Co-op. Pours out an orange amber, already starting to question the Saison classification. Malt shines through the aroma and follows in taste, reminding me more of a weizen, bubblegum and clove. Definitely weizen, but too light bodied. Saison, no, wheat ale, maybe.

Picked up at Brewer's Haven Boise last week some time.... Enjoyed tonight... Pours a polished golden... decent enough white head.. okay lacing.
Aromas are much more reminiscent of a BPA... clovey phenols and some light fruitiness... quite a bit too much residual pale maltiness to fit the saison qualities in my mind.
Flavor is also a bit to malty... not sweet, just a little too much malt to make me think saison... BPA, I see... also the phenols are coming in hard in the clove realm... I guess I would be looking for more of a peppery quality.. and really the phenols are just too high.
This really is a nice beer though... It just doesn't strike me as a Saison... I still however will buy this regularly and think maybe they should rebrand it.
3.5's across the board.... I will rereview this one in a year or so and see what I think then.
