Appearance: Pours a relatively clear golden colorwith a one finger head ; spotty lacing

Smell: Baked bread with a hint of bitter orange dominating

Taste: Bread flavors first followed by a rather modest blood orange flavor; the finish is almost medicinal

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: The aroma is much better than the flavor and the finish obscures the merits

Thanks, JohnGalt1, for the opportunity

Bought two 12 ounce cans from Beer Drop. I might give away the second. Undistinguished.
But I confess to not being a fan of this style. If I want a refreshing and soft wheat taste, I get a wit. They have more flavor.

Bloody Good is more yellow than red and lacks lace and foam. Smells are barely above average, fruity enough. But Tastes lack anything new; spices would help. Too light in my mouth.

But I will give Sawtooth a better micro-review. It must take persistence to start a brewery where brewers have rarely gone before because it is so remote. But after twelve years, Sawtooth still has two brewpubs frequented by locals and skiers and hikers. And for bringing brewing culture to such a remote place, I give them good Overall Hugs.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy golden pour with an initial huge foamy head that settles out to a small frothy cap. Blood orange in the aroma fades to a bready, biscuity malt taste. Weak finish. Kind of disappointing after a nice fruity aroma.
