The lightly hazy golden colored beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1/2” white head that recedes slowly to a cap and then a thin irregular island of foam on the surface of the liquid while leaving rings and sheets of lacing lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates a couple of arches and lots of small patches of lacing.

The aromas seem at first to be all about the citrus (grapefruit and citric zest) but then it becomes clear there’s also some tropical fruit here (e.g., pineapple and passion fruit) Also in the background there’s some light crackery malt and a definite presence of pine resin.

The flavors are somewhat as expected from the nose with the grapefruit and zest showing up front and the pineapple and passion fruit backing them up. The crackery malt sweetness helps to soften the resinous bitterness and keep them both in the background,

The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium bodied and crisp with the light but persistent and active carbonation. The finish begins as the hop flavors and sweetness begin to fade more rapidly than the resinous bitterness that closes out the long dry ending.

As far as Session IPAs go this one seems a bit more full bodied and has more malt flavor than some I’ve tried. I’ve found this one drinkable and could see having another. Since Neshaminy Creek is local I’ll be keeping my eye open to try it again in the future but I’ll not be making any special effort to find it.

Memorial Day 2020 has come & gone & tomorrow, I must away to Harrisburg for indoc. It kind of feels like the end of Summer/beginning of a new School Year (SY), except that I am not going into a classroom.

From the CAN: "Keep It On The DL Session IPA"; "Unfiltered Session India Pale Ale dry hopped with Citra, Azacca, and Kohatu hops."

My Crack!ing open the vent led to some foaming due to its being a brimful craft CAN. I CANtinued with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass since although it was identified as "unfiltered", that did not mean "hazy". It foamed beautifully to form two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, French Vanilla-colored head with very good retention. Color was a lightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was highly citrusy, more grapefruit than anything else, with light lemon & orange as acCANponiments. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste had a pronounced bitterness, like full-on pith, rind, the whole of the grapefruit. I'm not sure that it would be for everyone, but it beat the usual Session AIPA tastelessness. I'll take bitter over bland every time. Finish was bitter & dry, but I still felt unfulfilled. YMMV.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy honey color with a one finger head; a strand or two lingers

Smell: Stone fruit, a hint of biscuity malt, berry and a grassy, lemon aspect

Taste: A little biscuit and then the stone fruit and berry flavors emerge as well as some melon tones; a bit grassy with a white wine grape element that arrives in the middle; the finish is dry with a modest bitterness

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation; a bit aqueous

Overall: A nice session IPA with a range of flavors

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Can must have taken a beating... explosive clear golden pour with massive fluffy white head. Crazy lacing.

S: Citrusy hops. Lighter pine and fruit.

T/F: Biscuity grains... strong citrus hop presence. Grapefruit and citrus rind. Floral and pine in the background. Big flavor for a session.... light bodied. Crisp and clean.

O: An outstanding session IPA. Great flavor combined with the low ABV make this a super easy drinker. Neshaminy Creek rarely disappoints.

Look is very foamy, that's the first thing I notice. I think it's because of how recently it may have been canned (The Can is very simplistic with a simple label like it was done by hand ) . Tall white head.
The smell is very floral. I wonder if they grow a percentage of the hops themselves.
Taste---definitely floral, bitter but not too much kick.
Feel: Foamy when swooshed around.
Overall pretty good. Unexpectedly good. Too often, you get an IPA which is over the top or too little. This is right in the middle and that's why I rated it so good.

The aroma was just some mild tropical / citrus hop. Has a sharp, bitter orange / melon ring note but otherwise it isn’t super-flavor. Medium bitterness.

Maybe I am an ipa snob but this didn’t do it for me. I would rate this just ok. Didn’t have the hoppy bite I’m accustomed to. I get it’s a lower percentage but everything the smell, the taste, the body were just ok. Easy to drink and not bad but I don’t think it’s a great ipa. Decent but not great.
