Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is gold, slight chill haze, head is brighter white and presents 1 finger thick and then reduces to solid top, some spotty head lingers on glass sides.
Smell is toasted malt, light caramel, great pilsner biscuit, touch of fruit, some herbal/grassy hops.
Taste follows and amps up the style just a bit - more toasted malt, light honey, biscuit, pilsner, cracker malt notes, touch of grape like sweetness, then some herbal and grass like hop flavors.
Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, moderate sweetness, then drying finish.
Overall this is great beer and take on the style - great malt and subtle hop showcase of flavors and notes. I wish this was a year round offering.

Look: It pours amber with a slightly off white head. Head retention is good.
Smell: It has strong grainy sweet aromas with a bit of apple. There is a low level of spice as well.
Taste: It has grainy sweet malty flavor with some spice in the background.
Feel: It has a medium full body with a slight bite in the alcohol.
Overall, the hot tinge from the alcohol does affect the flavor and the finish.

Yellow-amber liquid, slight haze; slight foam action... faint herbal-floral undertone to an otherwise honeyish, grassy-biscuity malt nose... first sip - tad too malty sweet? - background yeast/mineral character seems fairly on point though... aftertaste eventually sports vague syrup-kissed pancake malt; later, a latent bubblegum ester joins the aft flavors... body has a soft swell up front, while it finishes relatively dry and mellow in the alcohol... I'm wondering if, as also in my experience with their o'fest, the smaller serving was somehow accentuating the richness of the (base) malt - I'd prefer to avoid writing this off as under-attenuated... maybe it's me - the base flavors do seem to be on the right track... perhaps I'll grab a can when/if I find one (1525)

Crowler complements of @woodychandler poured into a mass krug at fridge temp 8% ABV per label. The beer pours hazy rusty amber in color with light khaki head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island. The aroma is faint with a little yeast and toasted malt. The taste is semisweet toasty malt with a bit of earthiness coming through half way before a mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with adequate carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall, good. Always a treat to sample a new Maibock.

Look: Pale yellow-amber with a rapidly vanishing white head.
Smell: Spicy noble hop aroma. Pasta-like malt and lager yeast aromas.
Taste: Caramel malt sweetness with hints of fruit (strawberry, orange). Light pepper flavor. Some definite alcohol warmth/bite. Fairly sweet and malty overall.
Feel: Medium-bodied, sticky, lightly carbonated.
Overall: A nice lager overall. Some extra points for being a big beer that's also a change of pace from more popular styles.

Really enjoyed this one. Classic pour, gold with a fluffy head, aroma & palate have some golden malt, cracker malt and semi sweet German malt with a medium dry grassy hop bitterness. Refreshing & light but still squeezes out good flavor

A - Dark copper pour with brilliant clarity and pure white dense creamy lacing.
S - Toasted caramel malt along with earthy citrus.
T - Follows the nose "to a T" => Toasted caramel from start to finish, fresh bread crust, and ends with a just enough earthy mild citrus to scrub some of the sweetness away. A tad more citrus than a traditional German Maibock but it doesn't deter at all from showcasing the style. The ABV is completely hidden.
M - Thick mouthfeel with a wet finish on the front of the tongue and dry on the back, some stickiness on the lips.
O - Neshaminy nailed this American version of the style and a refreshing change from big IPA's. Nicely done and will be going back for more of this one!
