(16 oz can, 5% abv; purchased cold single at Pinocchio's last Saturday... decanted into a 12 oz stange-like highball glass)
L: dark tawny liquid with a slight haze; big foam rise, tight, build like insulation... excellent head retention and decay fragmenting; moussy
S: herbal cough lozenge, spicy grass; rustic brown bread crust note slowly emerges... lacking intensity and depth...
T: dunkel lager-like initial expression, but quickly filled in by doughy malts with a slight kiss of dark caramel in the finish... lingering essences: dried flowers, toasted grain meal, wine grape, hint of black pepper...
F: plush without contour; soft film left behind... like drinking concentrated clouds; soft, smooth, silent... bit of perceived warmth builds, perhaps from the toastier nuances of the grain bill
O: expected a little more malt character out of this; a bit too dry (2246)
