Our search for a location to start this brewery took us across much of Lower Bucks County, many times traveling down the well known divider between northern Philadelphia, southern Bucks, and Montgomery counties, County Line Road. One of the original names we thought of for the brewery was that of County Line Brewing. We don’t know how or why we didn’t settle on that name, but in recognition of our location so close to Philadelphia and that potential namesake, we decided to pass the name on to our flagship IPA which comes in at 6.6% ABV and is chock full of Warrior, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Centennial hops. It’s got a bready malt backbone to counter some of that hop bitterness, but not so much that this five hop combination won’t put a smile on your face. Dry hopped for nearly two weeks, County Line IPA has a lingering hop bitterness showing a complexity of resinous pine notes, citrusy lemon, and grapefruit that many IPAs on the East Coast lack.

Pours a pale amber with an off white head
Pine, floral, citrus, and a danky earthy hop with a slight nutty malt.
Taste follows nose with subtle complexity and a nice balance.

Look - two fingers of head, but dissipates quickly; high carbonation
Smell - citrus hops
Taste - very good taste, but not as complex as one might expect considering the mixture of five varieties of hops
Feel - it is a little bit sticky and would be better if it were more attenuated and crisper
Overall - it is a decent American IPA . It is not outstanding or world class. The very good rating is about right. For the price it is excellent.

Taster at brewery. Bright golden pour, spotty head. Hoppy aroma , resinous. Taste is more of the resiny hops, sticky, pine sap, mild sweetness, mouthfeel.

12 oz can. I see no dating info... "brewed with pride"
Pours out with a slight haze, lighter almond amber, lasting cap and leaves nice looking and coating sheeting.
Just a hint of malts and resiny hops on the sniff.
Flavorful, better then decent craft western IPA, soft, smooth and tasty hop notes with medium resin character.
Everyday kinda IPA...which is a good thing...

L: Pours a nice copper with about 1 finger of head leaves behind solid lacing
S: resinous pine with bready malt
T: follows the nose. With a nice citrusy, bitter finish
F: fairly thin, medium carbonation
O: a solid west coast style offering that I would keep on hand

Sticker on 4-pack holder with 08921 2.
A: Amber with 2-finger oatmeal colored head with good retention and thick lacing.
S: Strong medium caramel aroma with strong pine and red grapefruit hop nose
T: Flavor is also a bit too strong on the caramel malt to my taste, not off-putting, but just not how I like my IPAs. Hop flavors are classic pine, grapefruit and lemon citrus, along with some dank herbal notes. Bitterness is at least medium. Clean with minimal esters.
M: Smooth but a bit heavy in body due to the caramel malt component. Finishes dry despite the heavier body.
O: Not a crime to have caramel malt character in a 2021 IPA but certainly is not the routine anymore for even an East Coast iteration. Good beer and well-brewed but not my preferred flavor profile.

Poured from a 12oz can into a stem glass.
Head was mostly nonexistent when poured, but left some lingering lacing on the glass.
Color was a dark golden brown and hazy.
Aroma is piney, little bit citrusy, and earthy.
Taste is piney and citrusy up front and a little bit of malty finish.
Mouthfeel is hoppy, tart, and a lot of dry hoppiness which makes for a crisp feel at the end of taking each drink.
Overall, nice IPA. There is a little bit of metallic aftertaste that starts to come through about halfway through the beer, but I wouldn't let this stop me from drinking it again.

A pint can poured into a clear pint glass reveals a hazy amber brew with appreciable off white head and glass lacing. A mild hop odor is produced over the glass. The taste is hop dominant, but not out of balance for a hoppy IPA. While there isn't anything distinctive about County Line, there isn't anything wrong with it, except a little barley malt. Well worth a try and occasional revisit. Such a revist was had two months later, from a tap. Consistent with the description and ratings, it was a pleasant return.
