I've been wanting to try this based solely on the name alone (I love the movie), even though I'm not a shandy fan. Unfortunately, the can I had was almost a year old. :- (
Poured a cloudy amber color with an almost non-existent head, which disappeared quickly. Strong raspberry aroma. Taste follows the aroma, although the raspberry has an artificial flavor to it, to the point that it taste like a raspberry soda with no malt character at all (which could be due to the age of the beer). Mouthfeel is kind of flat.
I won't say that I hated it, but it is not something that I would search out. Although, I may have to revisit it due to the age. Maybe fresh, it will be better . . .

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass. Canned 6/22/21.
L---Crystal clear, light Amber color. White head had ok retention and left very nice lacing.
S---The advertised raspberry & lemon show up, but they're very light.
T---Some raspberry with light lemon. Nothing special, but a few of these could disappear on a hot day.
F---Light bodied with light carbonation.
O---Not one I'll look for, but if you're buying....

Evil Genius Beer Co. "You're Killing' Me, Smalls"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, coded "BTLON:052020" and sampled on 073020
$2.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's a hazy straw gold in color beneath a short head of white foam that drops quite readily. The aroma delivers a combination of raspberry extract and wheat malt. The flavor delivers much more of a soda-like taste although it's not that sweet. It's just not that malty - I don't want to say watery because that's not right, just not completely malty. Surprisingly it still lists the alcohol content as 5.5%. The raspberry is there, although artificial, and it's not that bitter (nor would I expect it to be). In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. I don't know what else to say about this one. That's it, some malt, some raspberry, and done. I don't particularly mind the raspberry extract, that's what almost every raspberry wheat ale tasted like in the late 90's, but at the same time it's not the best because there's not that much malt flavor to balance it out. I'm guessing this is an inexpensive beer to make, so good for Evil Genius, but I won't be buying it again.

I really want to eradicate any & all beers from my Bottle Backlog at some point! I recently had a falling-out with one person due to my disinterest in purchasing a bomber bottle of a special beer of his. I tried to explain that a) I am anti-bottle; b) I am anti-bomber (& always have been) & c) I generally eschew special releases of any stripe, but especially bottles. He took umbrage & we have parted ways. It should not be that difficult to parse my likes & dislikes, but I suppose that it is for some. Too bad.
From the Bottle: "Raspberry Shandy Ale with Natural Flavors Added".
I Pop!ped the cap & started a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of fizzy, foamy, soapy, bone-white head with very low retention, quickly falling away to wisps. Color was solid-Amber (SRM= > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was full-on raspberry, causing me to once more wax nostalgic for my late paternal grandmother & her backyard raspberry bush. It was the source for pies, preserves & snax as a kid. 8=( Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not much past it. The taste, while unmistakably raspberry, was kind of artificial & not as pleasant as the nose had led me to expect. 8=( Finish was semi-sweet (although I would not argue against semi-dry). It was moderately refreshing, but as a billed Shandy, I have had better. YMMV.

Pretty funny name with great raspberry flavors and a mild grainy slightly fruity taste. Might get it again if u am really craving a cheap raspberry beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with 1 finger of white head. Solid rim of lacing.
S: Raspberry.. light grains, but mostly fruit.
T/F: Light grains... raspberry and fruit. Simple... not much more going on. Light bodied... kind of watery and thin. No bad flavors. Lawnmower beer at best.
O: A mediocre shandy... raspberry themed. Not bad... but not worth seeking out.

Sure it’s a shandy, but still seemed on the weak side. Nice raspberry aroma. I should try this again on a hot summer afternoon. That might change my opinion.
