A Belgian Tripel with a honey-like malt middle from rock candy added to the boil. Very refined and smooth.

A - Vibrant gold colored pour with a thin, white, frothy colored head and the foam sticks to the sides of the glass like glue.
S - Lightly spicy, slightly earthy, honey biscuity malt aroma, a little yeasty, pears.
T - Pears, yeasty, honey, some earthy spiciness, light Belgian candy sugar sweetness, and a very mild earthy bitterness (barely there but just the right amount). Some alcohol pokes through but for the ABV on this big beer, it's pretty well hidden overall.
M - Very thick, silky, velvety, lip smacking sticky. Carbonation is prickly and sharp but since this beer is so thick the prickliness factor is more subdued.
O - A nice American interpretation. Too thick for a Tripel but who cares, it tastes great and I'd definitely buy it again.

I tried this on tap at the brewpub. $4 for a 5oz sample size served in a brandy snifter.
The beer pouted a deep gold color with a thin white rim for a head. Very nice lacing.
Almost no smell to this. Maybe a little Belgian yeast if you swirl it.
The flavor is a lot stronger than the smell. Malt and fruit flavors with banana and apple being the strongest. Other tropical fruits in the background. 40 IBUs worth of hops but they remain kind of hidden. Very slight alcohol taste.. That's very surprising considering it's a 9.9% abv. beer.
This is a full bodied beer just short of being syrupy. Moderate carbonation.
This is a well made Belgian style tripel, and according to their website they use a strain of yeast from the Westmalle Brewery in Belgium.

On draft. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left subtle lacing on the glass. It smelled of toasted bread, grains, caramel and spices. Sweet caramel taste with some citrus, yeast and spices. Crisp and sharp.

Was expecting a triple to be a bit more overwhelming. Was pleasantly surprised.

2014-09-06: 10oz pour into a tulip at the Kedzie brewery.
Pours clear golden with a small head and little carbonation. Smell is yeast and banana and maybe coriander.
Taste is strongly dominated by banana, a little boozy. Alcohol is very noticeable. Pleanty of coriander.
Mouthfeel is big and chewy. Overall, very intense tripel, which I like.
