Had a single draft at Zoe's in San Francisco, California for about eleven dollars. My first brew from these guys. Pretty solid brew, but nothing special.

I had wanted to return to one of their flagships, surprisingly a fine Saison, and still hope to in this trip to Petaluma.
But HenHouse's main line is IPAs, so I am glad to review this as well.
This Incredible IPA Looks (good foam) and Smells (mostly aromatic hop blend) are slightly above average for the style. More distinct in this crowded category are its Tastes which are balanced, not too clinging in the finish (which a malt-head like me appreciates.) Almost medium-mouthed, but too close to harsh.
After drinking their Saison in 2019, I surveyed their website. I now see HenHouse has progressed and I am glad to give them very Good Overall Hugs for all the stuff Good Guy brewers do.

Clear golden amber with sticky foam. Aromatic with lime, dark greens, pine, and a hint of orange peel. Quite carbonated and mouth-filling. Taste is robust, dark, resiny. What a crazy bunch of hops, and it does veer towards the overly hoppy after some sipping. Moderate bitter aftertaste. the fruitiness lasts a long time as well. A pleasant, interesting to sip, classic IPA with plenty of bitterness. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. Dated 02/26/24.

On tap at the Pub Republic in Petaluma, CA.
Appearance. Clear golden body with an excellent white head that leaves a nearly full coating of lace on the glass.
Really appealing and well balanced aroma and flavor with some grains detectable even with a solid hop load.
Mouthfeel. Harsh.

Appearance: pours a slightly translucent, golden color, with a thick bright white foam head. Retains very nicely, and leaves behind some incredibly sticky lacing.
Aroma: Pineaple, citrus, and grapefruit. Some definite malt overtones.
Taste: citrus peel and some pine up front. A little bit of malt in the background. Somewhat danky and crisp. A very nice and pleasant bitterness that rides through to the finish.
Overall: This is quite the brew. Very well balanced in both aroma and taste. Will definitely buy again. 4.5 out of 5.

Sweet, trop-hoppy aromatics on this one. The taste follows with a piney hoppiness on finish and swallow. It has decent depth and feel, just came up a bit short in the taste department.

Henhouse is new to SoCal and Raul is ok with that. Thang straight up comes running out of the gates like a greyhound chasing a fake bunny. Right when I poured the son of a gun, huge tropical aroma and glorious malts perfumed the room like Mariah Carey fresh out of da bubble bath. Yeah, you heard Raul right, “malt.” The Raul man didn’t expect that out of this West Coast IPA, but sure enough it is there and it is smoother than Lionel Richie on open mic night.
Yep!
