Single can pickup dating back to February 2022. SFBW results in lots of beer coming back, every year.
Pours a copper color. 1/3" white head. The commercial tug job re: aroma didn't pan out. I don't even know why you would want Nelson hops in a saison, but I dunno if I was just expecting ipa aroma or what, but it didn't do much and seemed to come at the expense of the normal saison yeast aromas. Middling and would rather it commit to one side of the fence.
Taste was satisfactory moreso, brought the continued hodgepodge of ipa/saison, but this went better. The yeast, grain and hops shined, took more of a lemon citrus aspect than it did dank hop weed tropical fruit and body odor onion existence. At this point, I'm like, ok, this is good enough to justify its existence, unlike some of the latter Oasis albums.
So I dunno, this one warmed up on me, but I still would rather have a normal saison or nelson ipa.

Canned 03/29/21 Labeled as, "Hoppy Saison Ale With Vic Secret & Nelson Sauvin Hops."
Bright gold, fluffy white head. Great retention, clumpy lacing.
Nose is funky and mildly spicy. Nelson and Vic definitely in the house.
Flavor follows all of the Saison notes with a melange of the hop profile blending really well.
Mouthfeel is is light to medium, good carbonation, and drying peppery finish.
Overall, a well chosen hop blend for a happy Saison. Caveat: I'm not a big Saison fan, and I'm not a Nelson fan either. So if you like this style of beer, with these hops, you are going to love this one.
