473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 22 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy, brassy golden colour, with more than a finger of foamy, soapy white head gathered atop. It lasts for five minutes or so, eventually eroding down to a lumpy cap and generous collar; gobs of lovely lace are left behind as well. There is grapefruit on the nose, but it's not overtly dominant - I'm also getting lemon, orange, cereal grains and an herbal, resiny, earthy hop note.
It's alright - I'm tasting grapefruit peel early on, paired with hints of grainy pale malts and bready sweetness that leads to citrusy grapefruit juice by mid-sip. Hints of earthy, floral hops and pine sap are briefly discernible towards the finish, with hints of caramelized sugars; the aftertaste is grapefruit juice & peel bitterness, and it loiters on the taste buds. Medium in body, with moderately low carbonation that froths up on the palate; a bit syrupy, and not at all refreshing, like radlers are supposed to be. I'll cut this one some slack because it's half-IPA.
Final Grade: 3.61, a B grade. I had hoped that this brew might be better than the two beers it was inspired by (Bongo Grapefruit Radler and Alpha Bomb IPA). Unfortunately, Bongo Bomb is less than the sum of its parts - both the radler and IPA sides of the experience left me feeling dissatisfied. It's more of a radler than an IPA, but like I said, the two sides are smashed together in such sloppy fashion that it doesn't succeed at either. Worth taking a flyer on, but only if you really love grapefruit ales.

Bright, very slightly hazed peach colour. Pours a moderate long-lived head that settles to a full film and gives good lace along the way. Quiet nose, not a lot of grapefruit. Bittersweet on the palate, a bit of sugary fullness and a sharp bite from carbonation. Muddled flavourwise, not the pronounced grapefruit thing you gets from most radlers. Meh.
