(proper pint at the brewery yesterday at 4p, second pint of it since this past Friday... review copied from notes taken on my phone)
perfect head and lacing; deep tawny color... nose: armpit, lovely dank, mushy, earthy, overripe peach and apricot(-tinged) hopping... palate: much doughy, crusty caramel swarmed by green-y, graas-ious, woody hops... its bitterness and dryness creeps up... (feel) somewhat but not overly round and resinous in texture... (back to taste) almost cherry-like up front, shifting to forest lawn in the finish
what I can add from memory: easily the most popular selection among the patrons in my two days camping out this week... I did try it both on cask and on keg draft and there were of course noticeable differences... this is the type of ESB I want every day, just defiled by Challenger instead (2035)
