Reminds me of rhubarb and cream. Great balance of bitter and sweet in a pretty red package with appropriate carbonation. Enjoyed this at the Hay Merchant. I wouldn't call it a saison.

A: Pours a pinkish/red color. A minimal white head forms with no retention and no lace lace left behind.
S: Acidic and tart up front. Raspberry puree that is almost, but not quite jam like. A bit of mineral, sulfur aromas as well.
T: Acidic with raspberry puree. Mineral, and sulfur like. That is about it. Nothing else here, not much of a Saison at all. Really more of an Americanized fruit Beriner Weisse. Not a particularly good one at that either.
M/O: A light and watery body. High carbonation that is very fizzy on the tongue. I got through the pint with no problem, but not something I am coming back to that often.
Not a Saison at all, and a very simplistic attempt at some kind of a generic fruited kettle "sour." I hate how "sour" is becoming its own generic style, but I digress. If thought of as a high ABV Berliner Weisse, not bad. Still, not particularly impressed either way. At least they tried something that is not an IPA or Imperial Stout.
