to me this one is like a not as good longtrail blackbeary. it pours an artificial looking pinkinsh color without much head but a lot of rising bubbles. I smell a lot of blackberry here, pureed, with a heavy dose of wheat malt and a plentiful ale yeast that gives the whole thing some attitude. I taste fruit that's sweet like jam or preserves, not as off the vine fresh as it could be, but a nice contrast to the tannic wheat malt and biscuit yeast. finish is a combination of spent yeast and blackberry, not totally delicious but not as off as it sounds. tons of carbonation and a lot more body that you usually get in one of these fruited wheats, its kind of a weird sensation. overall a reasonable beer for the ladies and for summertime, but far from mountain suns best work.
