Thai basil, black currants, and raspberries combine beautifully to yield a beer with notes of cherry, licorice, and earthy mint. Light in body with a semi-dry finish.

Served at the brewery from the tap into a pint glass. This one was visually stunning, being purple in color with a full head and great lacing! You are warned on the menu to expect the purple, and it doesn't disappoint. The aroma is strong of raspberry and currants, and the taste does not disappoint. The strong flavor of the currants and raspberries dominates; I didn't taste the Thai basil that is suppose to be part of the mix. But perhaps that contributed to the clean, crisp finish. Many fruit flavored beers are either too sweet or taste of artifice, but this fine addition is neither. It would be perfect company to a salad, but also stands on its own. Would definitely enjoy this one again!
