im usually not wild about these generic and basic fruited wheat beers, i generally find them too sweet, and like the fruit is to cover up beer flavor for those who dont really like beer, do i had low expectations for this, even liking much of what ive had from these guys, but this is solid as these go, ahead of the curve for sure. its lightly pink and lightly cloudy from the tap, but looks nice in the pint glass, maybe a little muted, and the head fades a bit, but a visually appealing brew. it smells like tangy raspberry as much as sweet, a pretty natural and not overdosed fruit complexion to me, maybe not whole berries, but at least a real puree or something. the wheat can still be tasted through the fruit so its still beery, the fermentation is minimal in character but noticeable more for what isnt there, weird esters, soapy or cheap vibes that often plague these, or any kind of unnecessary residual sugar. its not quite refreshing, but its light and good, maybe a touch less carbonated than would be ideal, but it tastes like beer and overall its way better than these usually are. these guys do a nice job, and i was pleased to encounter this one in my travels, a pleasant surprise in a style i usually avoid.

The beer is served a hazy pinkish color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with tons of nice raspberry that is balanced by a nice wheat backbone. To my surprise the taste was not all that sweet. It began with a nice wheat raspberry flavor that is drier in nature. As the taste advances it gets slightly more sweet in raspberry, but stays rather dry overall. Toward the end of the taste some light grain snd hop comes to the tongue and leaves a rather nice, very lightly sour and crisp taste on the tongue. The body is rather thick and chewy for a brew of its abv, which is great for the wheat snd raspberry flavors. Overall this was a rather nice raspberry brew that is very easy drinking and not overly sweet, all with tons of flavor. Rather nice!
