I drank this and the Delight variant together. Here are my notes.
I've been passing up Cinnabull since I've been on a (5 month) hiatus from drinking BS beers due to being fed up with paying for subpar beer. However, I had the chance to buy a Cinnabull Delight, which I was not expecting to try, and therefore did not want to pass it up. Of course, I needed to buy a bottle of Cinnabull for the sake of comparison. 750's of Delight and Cinnabull were $17.99 and $14.99, respectively. I figured why not revisit with two beers that sound tasty.
Cinnabull has an excellent nose. Strong cinnamon, followed by natural vanilla aroma. Delight is similar but with a nutty and green/vegetal coffee profile, with some sugary sweetness.
As for the flavor both are big on cinnamon and to a lesser extent vanilla. I don't find either to be cloyingly sweet. I read some complaints on Untappd about being too sweet, but I disagree. I actually found the finish on Cinnabull to have some bitterness. Imagine taking a teaspoon of ground cinnamon. That kind of bitter. The absence of coffee and lactose allow the cinnamon to shine through. Delight has a pleasant bitter free cold brewed coffee flavor on the finish that includes a nutty flavor as well as a touch of vegetal green coffee note. The coffee adds a nice touch and does not overshadow the other ingreduents. I find Delight to be a more complete and satisfying beer due to the complexities added by the coffee.
Both beers are aqueous, which in the end takes away from the dessert beer drinking experience for me.
Super drinkable given the 10% ABV. Very nicely done on this front. Zero booze.
Overall I think both beers are very good. They're "impression" beers and hit the nail on the head of mimicking Cinnabon. They're as advertised and were fun to drink.
