First it's sweet...then it's sour! The first entry in our new 5.9% Fruited Sour series. We conditioned this tart and refreshing beer brewed with a varietal of wheats and some oats for added body on a ridiculous amount of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry purees. And of course of few hooves full of our favorite candy. End of summer smash pie to the face...since thats what these mischievous calves would do.

I think the ratings here are a bit high. A very nice, crisp, refreshing beer, but I thought the fruit flavors and aromas did not pop and that the beer was one dimensional.

A: The beer is clear dark cherry red in color. It poured with a half finger high light pink head that quickly died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of blueberries are present in the nose along with notes of yogurt and hints of blackberries.
T: The taste has flavors of raspberries along with notes of yogurt and hints of blackberries and blueberries. There is a little bit of sourness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and slightly creamy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is hardly sour at all and has an interesting aromas and flavors of a blend of berries.

One of their best - vibrant color and a well executed and balanced beer.

Pours a little darker than "watermelon juice". Aroma is fruity berries - smells like it's going to be sour, but it's not nearly as sour as it's aroma suggests. A little flat - would appreciate more carbonation. Overall, it's good. The guy at the store said it was very tart - I did not find that to be the case.

16 oz can into New Belgium chalice. Dated 9/6/18.
Look is cloudy cranberry color. Nose is berries. Taste is berry soda. Feel is light and carbinated. Overall good for what it is.
