This session IPA is dry hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and El Dorado. Proof that good things come in small packages.

A: Pours a very hazy/cloudy pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint straw yellow + very pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a couple of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of juicy tropical/pineapple, tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, tropical/guava, and citrus/grapefruit hops over light aromas of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with a light amount of honey-like sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with a light amount of honey-like sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of juicy tropical/pineapple, tropical/mango, tropical/papaya, tropical/guava, and citrus/grapefruit hops which imparts minimal amounts of bitterness leaving a light to moderate lingering tropical hop flavor.
M: Slightly lighter than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a slightly soft/fluffy mid-body. and a hint of thin/watery elements in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decently soft/fluffy albeit slightly thin mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a very pleasant tropical with a hint of citrus hop profile. I could easily have a few of these, very sessionable.

Pours a hazy, honey color, like the other Heist IPAs. The smell is citrus, several kinds including pineapple. The beer tastes like citrus fruit in a bottle, absolutely delicious.

Appearance: Arrives with the hazy NE IPA look, cloudy and peach Nectar colored; the head was modest but some streaks of lacing linger
Smell: Tropical fruit tones of pineapple, papaya, kiwi and guava
Taste: As with the aroma, the tropical fruit tones dominate at first; in the middle, a hint of tangerine adds some citrusy bitterness; the finish is a blend of both tropical and citrus elements
Mouthfeel: Medium body and moderate carbonation
Overall: This beer has the fullest mouthfeel I have encountered in a session IPA; nothing aqueous about this; combine that with the bold fruit flavors and you have a real winner

This beer... I can't stop double taking. Hazy as hell. Looks like peach juice. Smell = pineapple juice. Taste= Tropical fruit smoothie, pineapple resin. Feel:thick and creamy. Smooth as it gets. Overall= I can't stop drinking this beer. Goes down like water and at 3.9% (not sure how they make this beer taste like this at this ABV) you can drink as many as you can get your hands on. Had the alchemist lineup, this compares without a doubt.

The amount of flavor in this easily makes it the best session IPA I have ever had. It is another in the NE style, so it's heavy on the the haze. One of Heist's best offerings yet.
