Thanks, Jay!
Was lucky enough to get this and a bunch of other good stuff from a college friend. Both Heist beers I had from him from the shipment were outstanding and I was expecting this one to be just as good. Not much of a description from what I could find, but the back of the can read, “Berliner Weisse Style Ale with Strawberry and Peach.”
Poured a light amber murky color with one finger of off-white fizzy head with dissipated quickly. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled strawberry, strawberry cream, strawberry milk, peach, nectarine and stone fruit. Strawberry and peach from the can with the addition of rubber somehow. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted strawberry cream, strawberry milk, peach blossom, tart strawberry and floral. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, tart finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was excellent overall. Very impressive considering strawberry beers are so hard to get right. (Overall - 4.25)

Pick’n Series Berliner Weisse with Strawberry and Peach from Heist Brewery. Received 10/8/20 from @nc41 in BIF 12. Reviewed 10/31/20.
16 oz can stamped on bottom rim “09/01/20 RAWWWWBERRY”. Stored at home at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 53.7 degrees.
Appearance – 4.25.
First pour – Pale gold (SRM 4), hazy and opaque.
Body – Deep gold (SRM 6), murky and opaque. When held to direct light, same. Pulp/puree is hanging on the inside of the can.
Head – Large (Maximum six cm, aggressive center pour), white, high density, average retention, diminishing to a three mm crown and a thin complete cap. Second pour produces a tight five mm head.
Aroma – 4.25 – Initially mildly sour, followed by a weak strawberry-peach aroma. No malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4.25 – Begins slightly sour with a moderate apricot flavor, more so than peach and no strawberry. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (4.1 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 4 – Medium, watery, soft, lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Certainly the lowest pucker-power I have ever had in a Berliner Weisse. Still, the nose and the flavor are quite good and remain fruity through the souring process. This is one I could drink regularly.

A: Pours a murky almost milky pinkish orange in color (not dissimilar to pink grapefruit juice) with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate pink + ruby red + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of slightly sweet slightly tart fresh strawberries and moderate aromas of peach over the top of light aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a light amount of tart lacto lemon citrus.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of light aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a light amount of tart lacto lemon citrus. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of slightly sweet slightly tart fresh strawberries and moderate flavors of peach. There is a light lingering tartness in the finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly soft with a light amount of acidic prickliness.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Very enjoyable with really nice strawberry and peach flavors and just enough tartness. Refreshing and sessionable.
