As you can see from the label, we tried something new. It's called a hazy IPA. We heard they're all the rage! This one is dry hopped with Azacca and Lemon Drop, giving it qualities of candied pineapple and lemon zest.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazed opaque juicy pour. Thick fluffy white head with nice lacing.

S: Citrus and fruit. Juicy IPA.

T.F: Follows the nose. Light grains/malts. Strong citrus/grapefruit hop profile. Lighter tropicals with a bit of banana/spice mixed in. Stone fruit and pineapple. Medium to light bodied... a little sticky on the tongue.

O: A very nicely done NEIPA. Drinkable and with solid flavor. One I'd definitely have again.

Pale orange with a big fluffy white head. Smells like pineapple and oranges with a hint of lemon. The taste is moderately sweet but finishes clean. There is a lot of pineapple, mango and orange/grapefruit in the flavor with a hint of lemon and a grapefruit pith bitterness.

From @Dragginballs76's generosity during NBS BIF #8.
Murky light orange body that is very now. The colour of apricot flesh. Decent little soft white head that dies down with minimal fanfare into a light fuzz with a ring. Decent lacing.

Smell is straight canned pineapple. Tropical fruits beyond that like guava and passion fruit... actually kind of reminds me of POG juice with pineapple. Very sweet.

Actually tougher to pin down than I'd anticipated based on the nose. There's definitely still some pineapple in there, but it's missing the soft juicy middle from the nose. It's more sharp bruised fruit sweet... Finishes up with a nice pithy citrus bitter finish.
Mouthfeel comes across as almost harsh... it's got aggressively effervescent carbonation combined with it's citrus acidity gives it almost raspy character. More sharp edges than I'd anticipate given the style, from the flavour as well. Sharply sweet and acutely bitter (I like the latter better than the former).
Much gratitude to Mike for sending this one along and giving me a chance to try it. Thanks, man!

Appearance - Pours dark orange color with soapy white head, lots of sticky lacing around the glass.

Aroma - Lots of overly ripe pineapple, mango and a touch of oats.

Taste - Taste follows the nose exactly, overly ripe fruit mango some light vanilla.

Feel - Creamy soft mouthfeel slightly dry finish.

Overall - Tasty juicy IPA wish it was a little less one dimensional.

L - 1.5 finger bright white dense head atop an opaque milky orange body.

S - mild grapefruit, pineapple, sweet orange.

T - so much pineapple! Sweet orange, tangerine, melon. Very smooth middle. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness . No booziness.

F - medium, creamy body with low carb.

O - a touch sweet, but damn that body. Also the focus on pineapple is delightful.

A: Pours an extremely murky medium golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass with moderate medium golden yellow + honey + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy (almost creamy) off-white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly heavier than moderate aromas of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, citrus/orange, and citrus/grapefruit hops along with light to moderate aromas of green tea + tropical/melon hops. Light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat + honey malts with a moderate amount of honey sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat + honey malts with a moderate amount of honey sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, citrus/orange, and citrus/grapefruit hops along with light to moderate flavors of green tea + tropical/melon hops. The hops contribute a light amount of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving a lingering tropical + citrus hop flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a moderate amount of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a really pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. A very enjoyable hop profile makes this beer one that I would happily grab a few more of (if I could find them). Really well done.
