We crafted this extra special bitter with meticulous attention to craft. Named as such for a reason, there is a mild bitterness at the beginning, fading into notes of pecan, griddled biscuit, and caramel.

A: Pours a clear medium golden amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate copper + honey + burnt orange + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a handful of very small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of biscuit + lightly toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of nuttiness (like a toasted pecan) and light to moderate aromas of earthy + spicy + grassy hops.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of biscuit + lightly toasted + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of toasted pecan nuttiness. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of earthy + spicy + grassy hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for a while before slowly fading away.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Almost slightly crisp upfront.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decent mouthfeel - though a touch higher carbonated than I’m used to for the style. Enjoyable with a decent amount of complexity to the malt flavors + aromas without getting heavy in the mouthfeel.
