12 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red/light purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, toasted bread, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, toasted bread, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tang/tartness, and light herbal/grassy/peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, brown sugar, toasted bread, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance, with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, fairly crisp, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very nice fruited American blonde ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Great balance of berries, fruity yeast, and malts; with mild earthy hops. Not as jammy as I hoped, but plenty of fruit presence. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on base style example.
