Very dark black/brown pour with a think cream head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is thin, not very prominent. Leaves a lot to the imagination before a sip. Initial impression is a very substantial mouthfeel with some toasted malt sweetness, followed by just a hint of pumpkin. Some complex sour tastes then dominate at the end of the swallow with a subtle hint of spiciness. A very complex beer. As the label says would be best with some spicy Latin food.

Probably my favorite Paradox beer so far. Nice sourness yet still subtle enough to allow other flavors to come through. Chiles only present once it wams. This is the 2014 version

A: Brown ale with slight to no head or lacing. 10% clarity and overall creamy appearance.
S: Sweet banana and malty chocolate. a light and sweet nose
T: Pumpkin, cocoa, slight banana, heavy malt, minimal chilies
M: Surprisingly little mouth with some lingering. little carbonation
O: Probably my favorite offering in the flight due to its unique flavor profile. Overall awesome brewery and beer selection.

750 ml bottle, 849 / 1140. Pours reddish amber with a medium frothy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is roasted caramel malts with some chili and and a little pumpkin and brown sugar.
The flavor is sweet and sugary toffee malts with a little fruity tea spicing and some chili and some vinous notes. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, interesting, but overly sweet and I don't get a lot of the chili and pumpkin (seed).
