Look: It pours a hazy yellow with a full white head that produces a fair amount of Belgian Lace.

Smell: It has high lemon aromas, some funk, high fruity esters, and low spice.

Taste: The lemon and fruity esters dominate the taste with low spice, grain, earth, and very low honey.

Feel: It has a moderately dry feel with slight sourness and some sweetness with a light moderate body and high carbonation on the low side.

Overall, it is a pleasant ale with fruity esters and lemon in domination but a bit sweet on the finish.

Aroma is pretty good ~ traditional saison. Appearance was really good at first, but shortly just average. Flavor's good enough, though I don't pick up the pepper, I do get a bit of the lemon. Nice drinking brew.

A - Very pretty, sunny warm yellow with nice bright-white foam and some lacing. Saison bubbles dancing in the glass.

S - Bright and citrusy. Everything the bottle promises, lemon, pepper and honey not to mention some grassy notes, buttered toast and spices.

T - Light and refreshing, but the lemon, honey and pepper remind me of something... I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but it tastes a bit like a cough drop. Spicy and lemony, but not well rounded, needed more savory or malty notes to ground the beer.

F - Tight saison bubbles and a smooth but thin body. Has all the makings for a very refreshing, easy-drinking summer beer.

O - I must admit, I wish I'd had this beer when it was warm out, not well below freezing because it seems like a good, fruity novelty beer along the lines of a Hell or High Watermelon, not the full-bodied, sophisticated saison I crave in the fall and winter. There was nothing wrong with it, the flavor just seemed more candy-like and fruity than serious. Still interesting and pleasant.

Pours hazy, gold, with 1/4 inch head and high carbonation. Taste is lemon, pepper, hay, and Belgian spice. Light, clean, and very true to style. Above average. Not the first saison I would reach for, but tasty.

Poured a cloudy, translucent golden body with a thin cap of white head. Overall impression of appearance is of a good saison, with an excellent body but too little head. Scents of fruit upfront, lemon and lemon zest with notes of tangerine. Bubblegum aromas at medium-high levels giving an interesting twist, alongside medium-light, spicy, peppery phenols. A light sourness and wild aroma pervades throughout. Overall impression of aroma is of a fine saison, quite pleasing and true to form with a good, rustic aroma. Flavor begins fruity yet dry, with notes of lemon and lemon zest, a nice presence of peppery phenols at medium-light levels. Middle continues these flavors and adds undercurrents of bubblegum and allspice. Finish is dry with the same flavors carrying over, though peppery notes, lemon zest and allspice are most pronounced. Aftertaste is dry with notes of pepper and allspice. Overall impression of flavor is of a very nice, balanced saison, one that showcases fruit and spice at great levels and shows the core of the style in wonderful fashion. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with effervescent carbonation and a drying feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a fantastic saison. Overall this is a very nice saison. True to form in all ways, but excelling at this form. An excellent, rustic saison.

Ratebeer tasting. Light yellow body, mild haze, white collar. Malt, candied fruit, light spice, coriander, yeast. Light bodied and easy drinking. Pretty good.
