Controlled Burn pours a hazy, brownish color, with a small head. Spicy and pepper like aroma. Flavor is full of pepper, some spicy flavors, lots of vegetable notes. Good body and feel. Overall, lots of pepper flavors, full of vegetables flavors.

Pours a chocolate brown colour with no head. Smells of peppers right away with some coffee tossed in. The peppers start out right away with the coffee fighting for attention...finish is a coffee finish with a very light peppery sting.

I think this is probably the best beer KC makes. Still has the carbonation and body issue that most of their beers have. Dark brown body with very little for a head. You can smell the peppers right away. Smells great. Some light cocoa in the nose also.
The taste is a light chocolate malt/cocoa taste backed by the spicy peppers. The heat is felt lightly in the back of the throat. I would call this a safe pepper beer, but you do get the taste of the anaheim, jalapeno and serrano peppers. Not too spicy to drink a whole glass.
Quite thin again with very little carbonation. I think these guys need to turn up the CO2 on the tap system.
