Golden, slightly hazy pour capped with one finger of bubbly white. Lace lines the glass which is nice. Nose is grain and citrus. The flavor follows, leading off with grain and brown bread, then lemony citrus to fill out the taste. Liberally hopping a lager is an American thing, but Sloop turns the tables by using German Noble hops. Overall, a refreshing twist on traditional lagers.

The head is thin at one half inch, and is off white. The beer is clear, pale yellow with occasional tiny bubbles of carbonation. The head quickly falls to a thin blanket, leaving surprisingly ample lace on a Pretentious Glass Company Amber Lager glass.

The aroma is crisp and clean, opening with lemon. Grains follow, and hops are faint to non-existent.

This is a decent Lager, with strong grains and modest bitterness. Faint sweetness leads to a long and mildly astringent finish.

It has a medium body and texture similar to coarse nylon. The alcohol is as expected. Fizzy carbonation does nothing to cut the astringency which builds with warmth.

This is a decent beer to enjoy after rounding up leaves in the yard.

Nice Noble dry hopped lager that does everything ok. Amber in appearance, I like that Sloop brings out these hoppy lagers during O-fest season instead of the norm. Flavors are moderate toffee, brown sugar without being overly sweet, and brown bread. A pleasant grassy/herbal hop finish proceeds cutting through the malt flavors. Body is a bit thinner than expected, but in this case drinkability is increased. A decent fall season lager, however I liked last year's Autumn Skies a bit better.
