Rye - Another great BA from Begyle for this year's release. Little less sweet than the others and more thinned out. However, it is ready to roll and doesn't need any cellaring. Just another quality oatmeal stout and I'm usually not a huge fan of this style.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released 12/31/20, had 1/8/21.
Pours near black and opaque with a flash of a head and a little foamy cling. Aromas of char, rye whiskey, oak, malt, chocolate, caramel, light molasses. Has a strong spicy aroma. The flavor is more barrel forward, then caramel, chocolate, oak, char, vanilla, malt, raisins, some molasses. Has a strong spicy flavor, too. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
Delicious. The rye barrels are spicy and excellent and combined with the solid base stout, there’s expressive aromas and flavors. Really enjoyable.
