Canned a month ago.

L -- Muted orange body with a moderate haze and three fingers of billowy white head produced with moderate pour. Great retention and lacing
S -- Mango, green onion, orange creamsicle, pale malt sweetness, wildflowers, new sneaker. Quite dank
T -- Yellow grapefruit, creamy malt, lemon zest, leafy earthiness
F -- Medium+ mouthfeel, medium carb. Smooth and soft, with a bit of rindy bitterness on the tail end
O -- Another solid offering from Hoof Hearted. Seems like this contract brewing is turning out well for them

Can dated 5/7/20 into pint glass. Pours a very hazy golden-amber with a solid, blocky, off-white head that leaves great lacing. Initial impression is a very smooth and well-balanced DIPA, with just the right notes of citrus, malts, pine resin, and caramel. If I had to advance one criticism, I'd say it was just a litle sweet for my tastes, but YMMV. Alcohol is incredibly well hidden. Mouthfeel is just a little thicker than medium, and super-smooth - there are simply no rough edges. Finish fades to a slight sweetness, with no residual bitterness. Excellent DIPA!

Super hazy with a nice thick off white head. Nice lacing. Lots of citrus and tropical fruits. Smooth and delicious. Crushable at 8%. This one satisfies. Recommended.

Pours an opaque pale orange with a twinge of white. Head is nearly two fingers of white foam that retains well. Aroma is papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, guava, lemon zest, orange peel and lightly bready yeast. Flavor profile is grapefruit, tangerine, papaya, mango, lemon zest and orange peel in a strong tropical fruit whirlwind. Heavy tropical fruits bring along a notable sweetness. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a lightly prickly carbonation on the front that prevents it from being soft - just a touch more than soft requires. Overall, big tropical fruits, which are well established and balanced, but that's the one trick here.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Still love the name of this brewery as it always makes me laugh but the liquid inside of this can had me going too as it was quite juicy and full-flavored. This was dank and cloudy enough to make me think that was a New England IPA as this was among the better American Imperial IPA's that I've had in recent months!

Of course, the pour to this was cloudy as the murky goldenrod hue let in enough light in around the edge. Tons of fluffy head topped this off and out of all the 2,100+ beers that I've rated on here, *none* may have covered the inside of my pint glass as much as this as the beautifully thick and soapy rings wonderfully bled down to the next, with a minimal amount of uncovered space between them. Loads of tangy citrus, tropical fruits, vanilla cream, and soft hops on the nose as the taste contained all of these in wonderful proportion. Dank grass, weed, and pineapple came in once I took a few sips as this felt wonderful on the palate without being too hopped, overwhelming, or unbalanced. Hints of lime came in on the aftertaste as the brightness and twang of it stuck on my teeth, with this beer having a clean finish and light amount of carbonation.

The amount of booze was spot-on since it was certainly present but not noticeable and not enough to infringe on the wonderful array of flavors here. Equally sweet and dank, I'd easily reach for this again and loved every sip of this. Give it a go - you probably will too!

T: Follows nose except no grapefruit, more mango

F: Juice and booze

O: Pretty fine overall as are most of Hoof Hearted's I've tried

Roller Blabe pours a semi-opaque golden yellow with a finger and a half of thick, rich head, which leaves spiderweb like lacing. The smell is a faint pine dankness with notes of tropical fruit including pineapple and papaya, a hint of floral and a sweet malt characteristic. The taste is strong and bitter hops, but quickly fades to a sweet citrus fruit and caramel malt that finishes clean.

subtle dank aromas that barely came through in the flavor which was a little disappointing. Otherwise it was really good. Very pale haze. Overall I expected a little more given Hoof Hearted's reputation.

Hazy, pale orange color with a half finger head and spotty lacing. Smells slightly dank with papaya and pineapple aromas. Taste mimics the aromas with some white grapes. Light fruit sweetness with subtle hops. Medium body with a little fizz on the tongue with some spice on the finish.

The best offering I've tasted from HH. Thick, golden, mostly opaque consistency. Aroma is it's best quality, but tastes almost equally as great. Very hoppy, not bitter in the slightest. Some citrus aspects as well.

Very excellent. Got as an extra in a trade and wish I'd opened it sooner. Fantastic floral and herbal scents and flavors going on. A bit of candied citrus. Soft and creamy. Nice bitterness to finish things off with some presence of booze at the end too. Wonderful.

Acquired from CapCollector16 so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 16oz can into an imperial pint glass.

A: The beer is a light yellowish gold color with a medium dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a strong but not over-powering floral hops bitterness that is quickly followed by sweet flavors of fruity citrus and caramel. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Very crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is very clean.

O: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, strong kick, very good representation of style, this is a very solid 2IPA to drink for a long time.

Thanks to nollie77 for this 16 oz. can that speaks humorously of my youth. I still have two tape decks…I can see them from here. And a fanny pack! OK, get off my Astroturf lawn.

The pour is trendy orange, like slightly watered down OJ. Smells like a fruit & vanilla shake right after you take a piece of gum out of yer mouth. Very nice.

Roller Blabe exceeds my expectations. There’s certainly OJ here & I can’t get rid of the impression of the milkshake, which is likely intentional given some of the dumb beer names I’ve seen lately (this one I like). Fruit cocktail, mint, passion fruit, red grapefruit, & a bracing bitterness that’s sadly lacking in most haze bombs. Simultaneously sharp & soft, this is an IPA that deserves the bigger can.

Most of this new ‘style’ has been a disappointment - seeming to stray from the IPA bitterness that turns my crank. This has the fruit without sacrificing the nasty disposition of your better IPAs. Excellent.

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass.

Look - a lemon/grapefruit colored fully opaque haze, with bright white head. For me - it looks as good as it gets. I prefer the hazy, unfiltered look.

Smell - heavy citrus, a lot of pineapple smell.

Taste - lemon peel, blend of orange/yellow fruits (can't find a better way to describe it) - medium "alcohol" taste, super smooth. Bite in the finish - but not too aggressive.

Feel - creamy mouth feel, like its lacing my mouth.

Overall - a very tasty HH DIPA - one of my favorites. Very drinkable (dangerously so), and probably my top 4 HH brews. Well done!

Poured into a Duvel tulip. No freshness date.

A- Pours a hazy medium amber color with a 3/4 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a thick solid ring behind.

S- Tropical fruit aroma of mango, pineapple and peach. Also a bit of dankness.

T- Balanced flavor of stone fruit, hop resin and somewhat sweet malt. Would never guess this was 8%. Lower end of the bitterness spectrum.

M- Soft, milky feel with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- One of the most drinkable and refreshing DIPAs I've ever had. Great for if you want a high gravity beer that's not so assertive but still has a decent intensity of flavor.

Pours hazy yellow with a thick white head that leaves a speckled lacing. When first poured you pick up a lot of soft tropical fruit notes--pineapple and tangerines--and as it warms it becomes more earthy and citrusy. Pineapple, pine and grapefruit flavor notes dominate the palate and are very harmonious. The feel is incredible. It's soft but well carbonated. There's a nice dry bitter finish that prevents the stiff malt backbone from making the beer sweet. Overall this is a world-class DIPA and probably the closest thing you'll find to a New England style IPA outside of the Northeast.

Pour is a very murky off-colored orange, pretty much has a body of apple juice. Tight white bubbled head that settles to a ring with excellent retention.

Nose is very pinneapple foward. Getting some green apples, white grapes with a hint of lemon zest. Getting some passion fruit as well, with a Hawaiian bread malty back end.

Taste follows the nose well, getting plenty pinneapple, kiwi, apples and pears. Slight bitterness in the back end mixed with a sweet doughy malt profile.

Smooth mouthfeel, low to medium carbonation. Overall taste is far from a fruit explosion, a little restrained. Definitely gets the job done as far as a nice fruity cloudy IPA.

The only reason this would score lower than avg for me is the look, albeit I knew ahead of time it would be murky. Past that, the smell is what I like in an IPA-citrus, pineapple, nothing stands out to me up front..just keep your eyes closed and nostrils open..taste is not too hoppy for a DIPA, but must be a well balanced hidden hoppiness there, really good..feel is a bit thick, but it may be the murky look that tells my tongue its that way, not a lot of carbonation. Overall glad I got it thru a trade, thanks to noyoudidnt!

16oz can from the 13MAR2016 release thanks to Mike!

Hazy, cloudy, yellow-pineapple elixir poured into DFH chalice. Thick one finger head, tight, sparkling bubbles, thick white rim with crazy white, thick lacing from top to bottom.

Fantastic pineapple, tangerine, bright orange crazy aroma. There is not much pine/earth as the fresh tropical fruits and especially that pineapple clearly take a front seat.

Tangy pineapple, kiwi, orange fruits hit with some nice lingering, smooth bitterness from front to back. This is one brew where the sweet, tangy tropical fruits really are at the forefront and create a nice texture and sweet/tangy profile.

Medium body, nicely carbonated, the alcohol is well hidden.

A fantastic brew that is easy to drink and has a nice pineapple/citrus flare and fantastic, complex profile. This should be one to seek and rivals East/West DIPAs.

Tropical hop BOMB. Murky pink-blonde color, not a large aroma but subtle hints of citrus. Juicy, citrusy hops with no booze detectable. Finishes deliciously, not much bitterness. Top tier DIPA, and my favorite Hoof DIPA - which is saying a lot!

Pours a cloudy orange like OJ with white head and nice lacing.

Smells like slicing open fresh oranges and pineapple.

Taste is heavy citrus and tropical fruit. Fresh tangerine and mango, mandarin oranges, pineapple, a little banana.

Medium body, moderate carbonation. Very easy drinking, 8% abv is not noticable.

If you dig cloudy fruity ipas, then dig this. If you don't then be cool and move along, nothing to see here.

So, I hear that hazy is in. Check. Stiff fluffy egg whites for a head. Pure crisp white,, the kind I don't buy clothes of that colour because it will last approximately 5 minutes. Shiny white. Beautiful. Good retention and good lacing.

Nose explodes out of the can with sweet juicy pineapple. Like if this were sitting next to an easter ham, bread and tomato sauce would instantly appear and they would make sweet sweet love to produce a Hawaiian pizza. Not much beyond that sweet tropical fruit though.

Flavour is more restrained. Still very sweet, and reminicient of a mango High Chew. Tropical fruits again dominate, though the pineapple steps aside to let its mango friend take the leading role. Somehow light but also juicy. Medium bodied with carbonation that is there, but is ever evasive. Airy. Only mild bittering towards the end that is more the shadow of a spectre of grapefruit. Other tropical fruits and some sweet citrus step in as well... could it be like... star fruit? maybe overtures to guava? tangerine? sweet no-pulp orange?

Another fantastic inclusion in the BIF3 box from @WesMantooth. Thank you!!
