Had it on tap 11/29. This version used Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee.

Pours out a hazy golden orange with a slightly off-white head.

Aroma is big coffee, but not aggressive and overly roasty. More floral, earthy coffee notes with hints of berries/fruit. The hops come through a bit and are more of the juicy citrus that Hoof is known for.

Taste is also pretty heavy on the coffee, but the hops come through mid-palate with orange, grapefruit, light tropical fruit notes and a bit of resin. Coffee dominated, but it's a light roast coffee which works.

Medium bodied and a smooth, almost creamier mouthfeel. Alcohol is hidden like usual.

Another tasty experiment from these guys!

On tap at the brewery. I decided to alter my ratings a bit more to style, but my overall rating is where this beer falls for me in general for the "style"

A darker color than the regular Musk. A murky, dirty gold with a white head.

Aroma is coffee first and foremost. A little bit of fruity hops and malts fight through.

Very smooth, rich coffee flavors dominate, but as it warms and you make your way through it, the IPA base starts to show itself. Some juicy hops surprisingly work very well with the strong roasted beans. Nice amount of resin. There is a sweetness in the aftertaste. All of the bitterness is really from the hops. The coffee is just flavor.

I agree with my friend below. The best non- stout, coffee infused beer I have had. The base beer really handles the profile well. I wish there was a coffee, or "infused" style because it feels kind of weird rating this as a world class American IPA in any way, but it is for me in the context.

This is a downright amazing beer! It may be the best coffee infused beer I have had to be honest, and suprisingly it is not a porter or stout. I am assuming the base is their Musk IPA, but to be honest the coffee dominated so much that I wonder... If it is though, the usual IPA flavor is almost completely hidden.

Smell is of fresh coffee. Not harsh or artificial in aroma. Taste follows the aroma, coffee bomb! Just enough sweetness and bitterness to make it wonderfully balanced!

Mouthfeel and carbonation is excellent. All around delicious.

I hope this is canned in the future!
