Our rotating single hop DIPA series. We are embarking on a fantastical journey (or dare we say quest) to put a singular focus on all of our favorite hop varieties, one at a time. A light and simple malt base of Pilsner Malt and Oats allow the single hop varieties to shine without stepping on it's toes.

16 oz can dated 3/18/2026
Pours an opaque yellow gold color with a creamy eggshell head. Good retention. Leaves a crown of lacing.
Aroma has lots of citrus and melon, as well as pineapple. There's a pithy bitterness and faint dank hop character.
Flavor has notes of citrus and grapefruit pith. Some pineapple and stone fruit with a touch of biscuity pilsner malt.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth.
Not my favorite iteration of this beer but still very good and very drinkable, and honestly you can't go wrong with citra hops regardless.

Our house draft beer is always a single hop Citra ipa if available. Usually Modern Citrapolis since it’s local. Sooo this is kind of our wheelhouse. 4 pack blew out immediately and everyone loved it. Exactly how you would expect it to taste as a New England single hop Citra. But extremely well executed. Must try if you are a Citra fan, going to buy more tomorrow.

Sixth beer I’ve rated today, and don’t think I’ve ever done that before, or not since Thursday night beer club.
Cloudy with a bit of opaque thinning, slight head/lacing. Mildly juicy and citrusy, a subtle version of what I thought was an NEIPA. Bit of bitterness on the end. Medium bodied, mouth watering finish, slight booziness.
Do I love citra? Yes.
Does this beer represent Citra well? Yes.
Do I love this beer? Hell yes.

Oct. '22 canning -- pulpy orange in color, carries some light pith and citrus juice on the nose. Flavors are smoothie sweet, but the body is traditional. Excellent triple NEIPA.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned October 25th 2022.
Big soap bubbled head of four fingers with island retention and surprisingly off white appearance. Body color is a mix of glow and turbid notes. Hinting just barely custard yellow with a dark brown edge. Ring lacing hits with excellent cling.
A real nice just solid bursting aroma. Hop rich pineapple and citrus rind, with lots oily zesty citrus flavors sensing on the nose. Excellent aromatics that really last and even showcase a bit of earthy dank lasting aromas too. Great stuff.
Palate is just flat out delicious. Rich textured dense body with a hop simple bonanza. Excellent mid palate of rich hop flavors of orange, pineapple, mango and tropcial rich goodness that has a nice bitterness, and faint hint of sweet texture. Manages to stay away from heavy sugars, or chalky flavors. The finish has a nice herbal spice to go along as well. And for a high abv it comes off like a straight up solid easy drinking IPA.
Real delicious take on a simple hopped brew. Nicely done.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store located just around the corner. It poured a hazy golden with no head and no lace. The scent had tropical fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with apricot and tropical fruit start that turn citrus peel spicy. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a fantastic beer.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, pineapple, orange and guava with some caramel. Sweet tropical fruit juice taste with toasted caramel and a sharp bitterness.
