Unleaded super diesel icon "Heavy Nelson" slides off from the stage and into the crowd. He's locked eyes on Gary and needs to strike while the lights stay low.
"Pizza Pizza Pizza", he croons as a conga line grows behind him. Looking back, two thoughts occur in quick succession. The first: DIPA's hopped exclusively w/ New Zealand varietals and a laser-focus on Nelson Sauvin make all the girls want to get to know you. The second: he's only got one chance to make this right for everybody.
"Heyyyy Gary from back the office who likes to order broccoli on the casual Friday staff pizza and only takes one piece for himself.." DIPA with whole cone Southern Hemisphere Hops.

16oz can dated 5/29/24.
Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white head. Moderate retention and lacing. Dank and tropical in the nose. Weed, papaya, mango. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Overripe mango and papaya on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Finishes juicy and dank.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a hazy golden with white head that left a very nice lace. The scent had nice citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright sweet malt base with tropical fruit hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Hey, I have a turbo in my Lincoln MKZ, and it's not too slow (but maybe a little slow for 245 HP - next time I will test drive the TWIN turbo 400 HP version). Otherwise, this is an unusual IPA, but more odd than extraordinary.
It pours New England IPA yellow and thick cloudy, with foamy head. If it weren't for the overabundance of NE IPA's, this would be an unusual appearance. The aroma is subdued, but clean and hoppy. The taste is a nice bitter balance with loads of malts and hardly any bite. It is pleasant and refreshing and ends up being like a New England style except without that juicy citra taste. It's almost delicate compared to some Americanized concoctions.
Not recommended. It is a poor value and nothing to write home about.

With one foot on the hop pedal and the other on the malt, Hoof Hearted puts together a fully leaded ale that's fast on hops but heavy on the grains for a New Zealand-styled balance that's just as sexy as it is patient.
Pouring with the same vegemite golden, tarnish yellow, pastel color and nearly with the same consistency, Slo Turbo races across the nose with the tangy, winey and tropical scent of the famed Nelson Sauvin hops. But on the tongue, its the pastry malts that slow things down a bit with richer notions of shortbread, honey and light caramel.
And then the hops take the fast lane to pass by the grains once the ale rushes across the middle palate. Those tropical scents come alive with passionfruit, kiwi, mango, pineapple and a zest of orange, lemon and lime. Trending tangy like a white wine sangria, the late palate brings a spicy and grassy bitterness to dry the ale to a hop-forward finish line.
Medium full on the palate, the creamy and malty-dry ale finishes with the herbal battery of green tea, sassafras, verbena and fresh cut grassiness with a peppery aftertaste of white wine, botanical gin and fresh cedar.

16 oz. Can
My first from this brewery.
Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice cloudy yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, cantaloupe, mango, apricot), with some pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice hoppy, malty, with a really nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, cantaloupe, mango, apricot), really nice sweetness, really nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Addictive! Orange Juilus! Milkshake!. Glad to see this around here. Pricey though!

One of the best hazy DIPAs I've had melding tropical flavors. Smells exactly like pineapple juice when you crack it open. Everything is in order as should be as you drink in the kiwi, papaya, pineapple, guava, and various melon. A nice break from the ubiquitous orangey Mosaic bomb hazys overwhelming the market
